Printing from Terminal Services
If you encounter problems when printing from Terminal Services e.g. Compliance or Ablyss; there are a few steps you can try before contacting IT Support with the issue. Close any applications on the server. Do NOT use the at the top-middle of the screen; this will disconnect you from the server but leave you logged in. Instead, click Start > Log Off. You will then be logged off of the server and be back at your Desktop/Internet Explorer. Go to Start > Devices and Printers. Identify your default printer by looking for the ticked printer. You can set a default printer by right-clicking on a printer and selecting Set as Default Printer Make sure your default printer is correct and log back in. Try to print again. If it still doesn't work, try checking the print queue. Minimise the Terminal Server session using the button from the blue drop-down panel at the top-middle of the screen. Again, go to Start > Devices and Printers Double click on your default printer Right-click on each job in the queue and select Cancel Restore your terminal server session by highlighting Internet Explorer and clicking on the Remote Desktop Web Connection window. Try printing again. If the problem persists, please contact IT Support.

Secure Printing (Ricoh devices)
This guide explains how to send a document to a Ricoh printer or copier with a user-defined code to start printing. This can be useful where confidential information is sent to a printer but you do not want anyone else to see the printout before you collect it. The guide is specifically for Microsoft Word but will be similar for other applications, in particular other Microsoft Office applications: 1. Open the File menu and select Print 2. Select Printer Properties 3. In the Setup menu, look for an option named Locked Print or Secure Print Note: this will vary depending on the model of printer. The example below is for a Ricoh SP C261SFNw: 4. Enable the feature, enter a user ID and any numerical password. 5. Click OK to save the settings. 6. Click Print to send the document to the printer. 7. You must now go to the copier in order to unlock the job for printing. 8. Press the Home Button button (highlighted below in red) and then locate the Status or Print Jobs button (depending on the model): 9. Select the locked print from the list, enter the code you set earlier, then print the document
